NOTICE OF THE
ESTABLISHMENT OF A TEMPORARY POINT OF COMPLIANCE FOR A
CONTAMINATED SITE, THE SOURCE OF WHICH IS LOCATED AT
7918 NORTH TAMIAMI TRAIL, SARASOTA,
MANATEE COUNTY, FLORIDA

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) intends to approve the establishment of a Temporary Point of Compliance (TPOC). This TPOC is for chlorinated solvent contamination in groundwater from historical drycleaning facility operations that are located at 7918 North Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, Manatee County, Florida. The contaminants migrated beyond the source property boundary onto the properties at the addresses listed below and shown on the map.

The Person Responsible for the Site Rehabilitation (“PRSR”) of this Contaminated Site is GFL Realty, LLC, c/o Mr. Ron Noble, Esq., 401 E. Jackson Street, Suite 2400, Tampa, FL 33602. The entire contaminated area, which may include multiple properties, is called the “Contaminated Site.” FDEP is in the process of reviewing a natural attenuation monitoring plan involving site rehabilitation of groundwater contamination that requires establishment of a temporary point of compliance extending onto the properties listed above and shown on the map.
Copies of any relevant documents concerning the Contaminated Site and the proposed site rehabilitation strategy, including the establishment of a temporary point of compliance, are available for public inspection during regular business hours at FDEP's Southwest District Office located at 13051 N. Telecom Parkway, Temple Terrace, Florida. Copies of documents are also available through the FDEP's Oculusâ„¢ electronic filing system at http://depedms.dep.state.fl.us/Oculus/servlet/login. The FDEP Site ID Number for the Contaminated Site is ERIC_18035.
FDEP's project manager for the site rehabilitation is Nicholle Ponce Leon who may be contacted at the address above. Please direct any written comments regarding this notice, the remedial strategy or requests for copies of FDEP's actions regarding the Contaminated Site to the FDEP project manager or submit comments via e-mail to [email protected]. Persons receiving this notice shall have the opportunity to comment on the proposed action within 30 days of the date of the publication of this Notice.
