FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION CALL FOR SEALED BIDS SURPLUS PROPERTY SALE
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) requests sealed bids from interested parties for the following:
16,786 SF vacant property located at the east side of US 17, and south of the realigned Bomber Rd in Polk County, Florida. The physical address is SR 555 (US 17) & Bomber Rd, Polk County, Fl 33830. No direct access on US 17 will be permitted due access onto Bomber Rd. The property type is Commercial Vacant Single Site. The existing use is a vacant commercial type lot.
Current permittable access is via the current existing driveway on Bomber Road.
The sale is being conducted by sealed bids with a minimum bid of the appraised estimate of market value, $33,600. The bid will be awarded to the highest bidder. The FDOT reserves the right to withdraw the property if the minimum bid is not received. Principals only may bid. The oil, gas, and mineral rights, if any, to the property shall be retained by FDOT unless petitioned in writing by the buyer for a waiver to release same.
Sealed bids must be delivered by 1:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025 to the FDOT, Right of Way Property Management, 801 North Broadway Avenue, Bartow, Florida 33830 or sent by US mail to FDOT, P.O. Box 1249, Bartow, Florida 33831-1249, ATTENTION: Roxann Manzi - M.S. 1-66. No bids will be accepted or considered after 1:00 PM on the aforesaid date.
The sealed bid opening will be at FDOT, 801 North Broadway Avenue, Bartow, Florida 33830, Monday, October 27, 2025, at 1:30 P.M.
