NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF ENVIRONMENTAL SURFACE WATER
MANAGEMENT PERMIT APPLICATION
Notice is hereby given that the Southwest Florida Water Management District has received a surface water permit application number 924640 from Hide-Away Storage Fort Hamer, LLC, 1813 Manatee Avenue West, Bradenton, FL 34205. The application was received on Tuesday, August 19th, 2025. Proposed activities include: The modification to the approved SWMS dry retention pond serving the 3.05 acre self-storage facility, and 0.69 acre future commercial outparcel that is currently under construction under approved ERP 43-47077.001. The requested modification includes taking credit for the 0.30 acres of the project site that historically discharges into the FDOT inlet collection along US Hwy 301, and modifying the approved dry retention pond and outfall structure into a wet detention pond via excavating an additional 3.5’ and treating the site following the Conservation Wet Detention criteria and including a secondary piped outfall to the FDOT SWMS for treatment only, while the remaining balance of the pond maintains the approved discharge location at the southeast corner of the property into the existing swale feature, attenuated by the outfall structure weir, and downstream, spreader swale. The project name is Parrish Storage and is approximately 4.51 acres of land, located in Section 32, Township 33 South, Range 19 East, in Manatee County. There are no outstanding Florida waters or aquatic preserves within the project limits. The application is available for public inspection Monday through Friday at the Southwest Florida Water Management District office located at 2379 Broad Street, Brooksville, Florida 34604-6899 or through the “Application and Permit Search Tools” Function on the District’s website at www.watermatters.org/permits/. Interested persons may inspect a copy of the application and submit written comments concerning the application. Comments must include the permit application number and be received within 14 days from the date of this notice. If you wish to be notified of intended agency action or an opportunity to request an administrative hearing regarding the application, you must send a written request referencing the permit application number to the Southwest Florida Water Management District, Regulation Performance Management Department, 2379 Broad Street, Brooksville, FL 34604-6899 or submit your request through the District’s website at www.watermatters.org.
