CITY OF ZEPHYRHILLS NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED NON-AD VALOREM ASSESSMENT FOR STORMWATER UTILITY ON SEPTEMBER 14, 2026

Notice is hereby given that the City of Zephyrhills, Florida, will hold a public hearing to certify the Stormwater Utility assessment roll.

Purpose of Assessment: To provide a stable, dedicated source of funding for stormwater drainage system operations, maintenance, capital improvements and mandated compliance activities benefiting properties within the City limits.

Proposed Assessment Details:
• Effective Fiscal Year: October 1, 2026 – September 30, 2027, and future fiscal years.
• Proposed Rate: $85.00 per Equivalent Residential Unit (2,770 square feet of impervious area)
• Estimated Annual Revenue: The total annual stormwater assessment revenue to be collected is estimated to be $1,676,789.33 for the upcoming fiscal year.

PUBLIC HEARING:
• Date: Monday, September 14, 2026
• Time: 6:00PM
• Location: Zephyrhills City Hall, 5335 8th Street, Zephyrhills, FL.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend this hearing to provide comments on the proposed assessment increase. Property owners subject to the assessment may also file a written objection with the City Clerk within twenty (20) days of this notice.
